American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid-Blended Learning
The certification, which includes Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED training, is valid for two years upon completion and is accepted nationwide. This class meets OSHA standards. The American Red Cross is the most respected source for training and certification of this kind. This class will also include individual work online and a meeting in person. You will have 2-2.5 hours on online work to complete prior to class. Proof of online work will be due at our meeting. Online link will be sent upon registration.
The purpose of this class is to provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to give care safely and responsibly for children and infants. This training will help participants develop leadership skills, learn how to start a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and well behaved. The recommended age for this course is 11- 15 years old.
Pediatric First Aid & CPR course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age).Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate Babysitting which never expires and Pediatric & First Aid which is valid for two years.

The Lifeguarding course provides participants the knowledge and skills to prevent recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies in both shallow water (less than 7 feet) and deeper water (7 feet or more) and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the assigned online portion(s) (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to each instructor-led session. Participants who successfully complete this course receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding (including deep water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid valid for 2 years. Prerequisites: 1. Minimum age: 15 years; 2. Complete a swim- tread-swim sequence: Jump into the water submerge resurface swim 150 yards (using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both) maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs then swim 50 yards using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both. 3. Complete a timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds by starting in the water swimming 20 yards surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7 to 12 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point holding the object at the surface with both hand exit the water without using a ladder or steps.
American Red Cross Lifeguard r24 recertification can be achieved with Lifeguard Recert classes that refresh your knowledge and skills and will update your certification for another two years. To participate in the Lifeguard Recert class you must have a current lifeguard certification, or certification expired by no more than 30 days.
